Hotel Waldstein Reviews and Information
Something went wrong at hotel Waldstein Prague. The owners apparently failed to turn this valuable historical property (a fourteenth century mansion) perfectly located near Malostranske Square and Charles Bridge into a quality hotel. It is hard to transform old houses in Prague into modern hotels: authorities do no allow many changes like new elevators, visible air-conditioning units etc. But the fact is many others somehow succeeded. The property has stunning original parts like wooden ceiling and beautiful vaults. But the Waldstein Hotel Prague is lacking air-condition, proper water instalations and sound-isolation. The breakfasts were poor every time we visited (ingredients not fresh, service unprofessional, the breakfast room crowded). Besides some of the rooms have rather unfortunate shape. Considering all this, Hotel Waldstein Prague is fit only for those with strong desire to stay in Mala Strana Quarter and get a really good deal (our estimate is around 100-120 USD would be appropriate price).
